The wrestling fans always considered the AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura to be a dream feud.

These two are the two most veteran names around the pro-wrestling circuit. They had encounters around the whole world before coming to the WWE. The officials decided to keep them on the same brand so that we can see the inevitable matchup.

The first bout between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura happened at Wrestlemania 34. It was far away from their benchmark match that took place in Japan. It happened when both of them were part of the NJPW promotion. The Wrestlemania bout was not bad either. It took a new turn after Nakamura turned heel following the match.

He delivered numerous low blows to AJ Styles ever since then. This set up the second match at Greatest Royal Rumble PPV event. This ended in a chaotic fashion. So the general manager of Smackdown Live made their next match at Backlash a No Disqualification affair. This one too ended in an abrupt manner after both men hit low blows on each other.

So we are getting another instalment of this contest at the upcoming MITB PPV event. This time we will see this match under a Last Man Standing rules. The repetition of these matches has already made the feud looking pale. This was a special kind of match that should have happened for only a couple of times.

But we have already witnessed it multiple times. Plus the booking of this feud has been terrible. The only good thing about this rivalry is getting a heel Shinsuke Nakamura. His one-liner of ‘no speak English’ is hilarious. But that’s it. There’s nothing more we can get from this rivalry for now.

It has to end right away at MITB. Fans are afraid that WWE might not want to create a new feud until Summerslam arrives. There will be another PPV named Extreme Rules before the biggest event of the summer. So there’s still a chance to see them in with another special capacity especially if Nakamura captures the title at MITB. AJ Styles will receive a rematch in that case.

It could extend the rivalry between these two for the entire upcoming summer. It should not be the scenario with so many fresh feuds still in-reserve on Smackdown. We hope that MITB will be the last of this feud for good. Or else, WWE Universe will lose interest from the WWE Championship feud.
