This week’s episode of WWE Raw was the best possible episode of 2019 so far. It had so many ingredients in it right from the beginning. Returns, title defenses, walkouts, arrests, shocking beatdowns were in-store to make the show a must watch. After a long time, the flagship program of the WWE looked this much packed.
Batista attacked Ric Flair after Raw return
Monday Night RAW saw the return of Roman Reigns who declared to be back in competition. Batista also came back in the final segment of the show attacking Ric Flair in a backstage segment. Legends like Ricky Steamboat, Sting and Shawn Michaels were standing in the middle of the ring.
Another such name was also present at backstage, as per the reports.
The Rock is the one who was also in attendance for the star-studded night. However, he decided to stay off-screen rather than appearing on the main show. There’s no concrete reason for why he’s chosen to dodge the live TV camera. But the potential reason should be that it’d be irrelevant for such a big superstar to show up without any proper reason.
Also, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com provided the update with a tweet following the show. It stated, “For those wondering, The Rock has been doing a lot of interviews for Fighting With My Family backstage.” He was indeed present in the city of Atlanta for the last couple of days for the movie’s promotion which’s just been out.
So he might have decided to visit the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia to make some more promotions in the presence of media on WWE Raw. Speaking the movie, Fighting with My Family has received a global release on February 22nd. People loved the movie that is oriented with WWE superstar Paige’s career. It is going strong in theatres.
As for The Rock, there’s no confirmed update on his WWE career. Some of the previous updates hinted that he might come back to challenge Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 35. But he decided to stay away from the scene. The last time we saw him on live WWE TV was in 2016 when he graced the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas.
Previously, The Rock stated to come back to WWE on numerous occasions. But his Hollywood stint has always been a bar for him to make regular appearances and be a part of storylines. Unlike any surprising change in his schedule, we should not expect him to be back on WWE Raw or even at Wrestlemania 35.
