Alexa Bliss is a five-time women’s champion in the WWE. She used to carry the WWE Raw women’s division before Ronda Rousey appeared on the scene, earlier this year. She had the longest run with the championship on the red brand to set the bar high. Unfortunately, an injury is keeping her out of in-ring competition for a long time. Otherwise, we could have seen her more in the championship capacity.
Good news on Alexa Bliss’ health
But the good thing for Alexa Bliss is that WWE never took her away from the TV, for a bit. She is a regular name on WWE Raw despite the injuries. It began just after Hell in a Cell PPV event in September where she failed to regain the WWE Raw women’s championship. WWE booked her at the Evolution PPV against Lita and Trish Stratus in a tag team match. But the injury never allowed her to do so.
In the meantime, Alexa Bliss transitioned into a managerial role. She was overlooking things for names like Mickie James, Alicia Fox, Dana Brooke and more. Recently, acting general manager Baron Corbin appointed her as the in-charge for the entire WWE Raw women’s division. She is continuously hosting live conferences on WWE Raw for superstars ever since then.
Some of the fans might have not liked these segments for the past couple of weeks. But it is not coming to an end, sooner. We will be getting another such conference on WWE Raw on tonight. WWE is promoting this as a pre-TLC conference between Ronda Rousey and Nia Jax. The question is why WWE is keeping Alexa Bliss on TV on a regular basis despite the concussion.
Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggested the potential reason behind this. The creative team members including Vince McMahon is a fan of Little Miss Bliss on WWE Raw. They just love the character that she plays on-screen. Well, the fans could not agree more with them. This lady has always been a great talker whenever having a mic in hand.
Apparently, the WWE officials want to emphasize this skill of Alexa Bliss. They try to put over her promo skills every time she comes out. But the badly booked conference segments might have downplayed her abilities. It’s not her fault as the blame goes to the written script. “They are in love with Alexa Bliss. They think Alexa Bliss hung the moon and she can’t wrestle so they just figure that these talk segments get Alexa Bliss on television and get her lots of TV time and they feel that people wanna watch Alexa Bliss.”
