As reported by express.co.uk, Kofi will still be the champion, going by the advertisements of WWE events in Australia. The reigning champion is set to defend the title against ongoing rival Randy Orton which means that he is not losing the belt to Brock Lesnar on October 4th.

Additionally, his partners, Xavier Woods and Big E are also being advertised as the Smackdown tag team champions which they are not. They have just lost the belts to The Revival (Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson) at Clash of Champions. It’s still not clear whether WWE plans to give back the tag belts to the former champs since there not ongoing storyline between them.

Meanwhile, the Australia show kicks off with live events in Sydney and ends in Melbourne on October 21st and 23rd, respectively. WWE promotional materials also confirm that Kofi Kingston vs. Brock Lesnar saga will continue throughout the upcoming weeks. So Vince McMahon may not book the title change on the very first episode and rather hold it for a later date or PPV episode. This could be an interesting way to indulge the fans into the storyline, even more.
