At this time, a critical situation broke out in the WWE with one of the regular members of the commentary panel has been accused of domestic violence. The concerned name of David Otunga who is regularly seen on the kick-off panels before any of the PPV shows.
The accusation was filed by Otunga’s wife, Jennifer Hudson. For a long time now, the couple is said to be dealing with family matters. If the recent reports are to be believed, then the two have parted ways. Hudson filed an order of protection against her husband.
Otunga’s attorney released a statement that suggested that this order is a trying to win the battle of custody of Otunga’s child. Check out the statement put, here:
“Due to Jennifer Hudson’s rigorous schedule of world travel to maintain her high-profile career in the entertainment business, Tracy Rizzo stated Otunga would be granted residential care for the couple’s son. Therefore, the order of protection is a “meritless Petition for Order of Protection to gain an unfair advantage in the custody dispute.”
The Police had told TMZ Sports that an investigation program was launched to find the status of David Otunga. Further updates on this program will be given, later.
WWE does not tolerate these kinds of situations from their employees, at all. But, since the allegations did not turn out to be true, as of late, Otunga’s status as a WWE employee seems okay.
Cops told TMZ they’ve launched a misdemeanor domestic battery investigation in regards to Jennifer Hudson’s claims against David Otunga.
It’s worth noting that WWE’s zero tolerance policy would only kick if he were to get arrested. Then he’d be suspended.

Here are further statements from the former WWE wrestler’s attorney, Tracy Rizzo while defending his client in this matter,
“David Otunga has been trying to negotiate the terms of an amicable parenting agreement with Ms. Hudson for several weeks now…However, when it became apparent to Ms. Hudson that Mr.Otunga would be the parent granted residential care of the child, as a result of Mr. Otunga being the child’s primary caregiver while Ms. Hudson pursues her career all over the world, Ms. Hudson decided to file a meritless Petition for Order of Protection in an effort to gain an unfair advantage in the custody dispute.”
If the tensions around the situation keep ongoing, then WWE will surely keep David Otunga aside from WWE TV, for sometimes. Until he gets over of all the accusations, the company is not supposed to bring him back to the kick-off show panels. He was last seen at the TLC kick-off show with the other host, Renee Young.
