WWE News: WWE Confirms Moving TLC PPV to December from October 1

Previous updates confirmed TLC PPV had changed its schedule once again.

The original schedule of the show hinted it would take place in October, like last year. However, we noticed a massive change in schedule in this particular month. WWE inserted a substantial live event-cum-PPV show from Melbourne, Australia on October 6th.

Furthermore, the inaugural all-women PPV named Evolution will also be there in the same month, i.e., October 28th. Also, Smackdown Live’s 1000th episode celebration will take place on October 16th. So it was evident TLC PPV has to go back to its original schedule, i.e., in December.

Traditionally, this particular show had always marked the end of WWE PPV calendar. It was last year only when WWE preponed the show due to a Shield reunion. But that ended being a miserable show due to a number of injuries. Now, WWE.com has confirmed they booked TLC PPV on December 16th. It means the Clash of Champions will not happen this year.

As reported by wrestlingINC.com, WWE also confirmed the finale of Mixed Match Challenge season 2 would also take place at TLC PPV,

“WWE has announced that Mixed Match Challenge will return on Tuesday, September 18 on Facebook Watch. The second season will feature 14 episodes and will air at 10 pm each week. A pre-show will air at 9:50 pm. Each 30-minute episode will feature two matches. WWE has also confirmed that the season two finale will take place during the WWE TLC pay-per-view on December 16.”

Previously, PWInsider.com reported WWE stopped advertising TLC PPV from the TD Gardens in Boston, Massachusetts on October 21st. They have replaced it with a live event instead. Now the current ads show that TLC PPV will take place in San Jose, California. The SAP Center should be the host which is not yet official.

It is good decision to retain the TLC PPV in WWE calendar in its original slot of December. WWE Universe loves these kinds of gimmick-based PPV events. The added stipulations (Tables, Ladders, Chairs) are always a special attraction of this WWE Network special event. We hope to get an official announcement on TLC PPV and ticket-selling, sooner.
