Evolution PPV is going to benefit the WWE to a considerable extent. It is the first-ever live PPV show exclusively for the women. There has not been one such show in the pro-wrestling industry, before this. Technically, it’s not anything different from a WWE Network special show, i.e. a PPV event on a monthly basis.
It is the reason why WWE moved the TLC PPV from its original schedule in October. Evolution replaced it which means the company has full faith in the women superstars. The concept itself is an innovative idea that will garner significant mainstream attention.
From that perspective, it is a grand show in the company’s history. Even from now on, the hypes around the Evolution show is far more prominent. Stephanie McMahon had already confirmed WWE is hell-bent to make the show successful. So they will go to any limit to produce a one-of-a-kind event.
Various superstars from the past will come back to perform on the Evolution show. WWE has confirmed Trish Stratus, Lita for now who will be present on the show. Further reports also suggested the Bella Twins will also be back in action. Also recently another Hall of Famer has joined the returning fray.
According to the social media updates, Beth Phoenix is the latest addition to the all-women PPV event. It was quite a predictable move considering her relevance in the Divas division. Back in the days, she used to be one of the most dominant female superstars present in the locker room.
So, it was almost certain that WWE would call Beth Phoenix for the Evolution PPV. She is feeling extremely honoured to be a part of the upcoming show. Check out her comments on this regard,
“I’m so flattered by the @WWEUniverse response to me being at #WWEEvolution …I wouldn’t miss it for the world. Thank you for demanding more all these years. My heart is so full!”
We still don’t know the capacity that WWE will use her on the card. The multi-time Divas Champion returned for in-ring commentary during the Mixed Match Challenge event earlier the year. She was also part of the women’s Royal Rumble in January. Hopefully, the creative team can use her to the full potential during this comeback.
