Roman Reigns is the show-runner indeed when it comes to WWE Raw. He was in full force of the show this week allowing the TV ratings to go upwards.

This is the reason why the creative team is fond of him when it comes to televised shows. The live in-attendance may shower him with thunderous booing. But we can’t deny the effectiveness of his every appearance.

The July 2nd edition of WWE Raw took place from Sioux Falls in South Dakota. Roman Reigns was all over the place right from the beginning of the show. He kicked things off cutting a promo against Bobby Lashley that witnessed interruption from Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre. Seth Rollins joined his buddy to provide backup.

After that, Roman Reigns continued to appear on WWE Raw in several backstage segments. Plus, he performed double duties this week by performing in two matches. The first one was a tag team match teaming up with Rollin against the two mentioned names that interrupted him.

Then the WWE Raw general manager forced him to compete in another tag team match against Revival. This time around, Bobby Lashley was his tag partner. After taking a beatdown from the heel team, Reigns wanted a match against Lashley at Extreme Rules. Angle sanctioned it in a backstage segment that was his final appearance on the show.

But in the meantime, he had done his job. The flagship program witnessed a high rise in ratings due to these appearances. It managed to get a significant 1.65% rise in comparison to the last week. SEScoops revealed the exact figures as stated below, (courtesy SportsKeeda.com),

“Last week’s episode of RAW saw Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler in the main event match. The episode scored a viewership of merely 2.663 million. Conversely, this week’s episode of RAW saw a 1.65% increase in viewership, with a viewership of 2.707 million. The first hour was the weakest with 2.641 million viewers; the second saw a rise to 2.822 million whereas the final hour saw a dip to 2.658 million.”

It is a mentionable achievement by WWE Raw en route to Extreme Rules. There has been a constant fall regarding ratings for the past several weeks.

Furthermore, WWE had also proved the need for Roman Reigns no matter what. It does not matter what the fans think of him. The figures tell the original story, and there’s no one better than the Big Dog of the company.
