As reported earlier, the script for this past edition of Monday Night Raw got changed on multiple occasions.
The latest episode took place in Indianapolis, Indiana which witnessed the return of The Shield which overshadowed all the other happenings that left a bad taste in the backstage area.
As per reports from PWInsider.com, the first script that needed to change was the Cruiserweight championship match. Before WWE Raw went on air, Enzo Amore vs Kalisto was advertised to take place at the TLC PPV with Enzo being the champion.
On the other hand, Neville was scheduled to face Enzo on the show, perhaps for the title. He owed a title rematch after losing the title to Enzo at No Mercy. Due to some unconfirmed reasons, Neville chose to walk out of the company on Monday Night. It led to Kalisto vs Enzo to be get preponed on the main event of the show where we saw the title changed hands.
The second big change happened on multiple occasions during the show, as well. It was regarding the match which determined the opponent for the debut match of Asuka at the TLC PPV.
Before the start of Raw, a triple threat match was being advertised to take place with the winner getting the first shot to challenge Asuka, Emma, Alicia Fox and Nia Jax were supposed to be a part of it. Later, the script was changed and it suggested that the match will take place, next week.
A six-way elimination match was finalized including Sasha Banks, Bayley, Emma, Alicia Fox, Nia Jax and Dana Brooke. Later, the script was changed again during the show and a fatal-5-way match was chosen to happen on the show. Five from above mentioned female superstars were chosen excluding Nia Jax whom the officials might protect.
It came out as the final plan to be approved since the next edition of WWE Raw will be used to promote the arrival of Asuka on the Raw brand. She is the most dominant performer that the women’s division has ever seen and we can expect the creative team to hype it up to a certain extent, for sure.
