WWE News: WWE Raw to Broadcast Live on Christmas and New Year 1

The holiday season preparations will be in full force, this year on the USA Network. In general, the company arranges a special WWE Raw and Smackdown episodes on the last week of the year to give the fans a mega treat for Christmas and New Year. But, this year, there might be something very special stored for the fans.

As revealed by WWE.com, the last week of December 2017 will mark the first-time ever in the history of WWE Raw where the show will be broadcasted live on the evening of 25th December, live on the USA Network. The next night will witness yet another episode of Smackdown Live on the same network to conclude this year’s live programming. Check out the official announcement from the official website of the WWE:

“Prepare to celebrate the holidays with WWE this year as Raw broadcasts LIVE on Christmas night, Dec. 25, and New Year’s Day, Jan. 1.
This marks the first time that WWE will present Monday night’s hottest show live on the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. These unprecedented broadcasts aim to best serve you, the WWE Universe, during the holiday season. Additionally, SmackDown will be broadcast live on Dec. 26 and Jan. 2.
Deck the halls and ring in the New Year with Monday Night Raw, live on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 on USA Network”

As you can see from the announcement, Monday Night Raw will be aired, once again on the evening of the New Year of 2018, as well. Each year, something special is arranged to kick-off the New Year with a bang and hence we can expect to witness pretty much fireworks on these nights.

However, there’s a negative note on this announcement, as well. WWE Superstars had a rigorous schedule for the entire year, and this is the time when most of the superstars want to spend the time with their family. But, with Raw and Smackdown being hosted live, they will not be getting the opportunity, this year.

Already, some tweets were posted by Jeff Hardy’s wife, Beth Hardy who could not resist showing her disappointment. It will not allow Jeff to stay by her side on Christmas night which is not getting tolerated by her. She also disclosed the fact that this live show was an entire decision taken by the USA Network team and not by the WWE officials.
