WWE News: WWE Reaches To An Agreement With Impact Wrestling Over The Broken Gimmick 1

Matt Hardy revamped his career alongside his brother Jeff Hardy by bringing in the Broken gimmick. This led to his transformation into a bizarre character with a British accent, whereas, Jeff was renamed as Brother Nero. All of this happened back in 2016 when they were a part of the TNA Impact Wrestling.

There were doubts whether this gimmick would be successful or not. But, it took the Hardy Boyz’ popularity into a new level that anyone could have thought. In the month of March, Matt and Jeff parted ways with the Impact Wrestling promotion and returned to the WWE at Wrestlemania 33.

However, we did not witness them with the ‘Broken’ gimmick. Rather, they were back with their very own ‘Team Extreme’ name. This was due to Impact Wrestling filing a lawsuit against the Hardy Boyz so that they cannot use this particular gimmick outside the promotion.

WWE previously was not interested in buying the rights for this one. But, with the fans always chanting “DELETE! DELETE!” it’s clear that they want to see the bizarre character here, as well. So, they contacted the owner of Impact, Anthem Sports to reach an agreement regarding this exclusive gimmick.

Latest reports from Cagesideseats.com suggested that the conflict has finally resolved, as both the parties have agreed on mutual terms. The negotiations were on since Wrestlemania and it has finally ended with Impact Wrestling possibly getting a share from this deal.

The source also hinted that Matt Hardy will soon debut his ‘Broken’ side on the flagship show, very soon. The rumours of this one were on the air for quite a long time now and it will happen, finally. The tweets from the one-half of the Raw tag team champions are also indicating the same.

Matt has never been able to solidify himself as a main eventer during his first stint in the WWE. He was shadowed by his brother. With the debut of this Broken gimmick, he will be able to pull himself up to a whole different level.

Plus, WWE will be benefitted by virtue of this.
