There’s no doubt about Drew McIntyre being the future of the WWE by all means. This big guy on the roster has been the chosen one since day one who is set for big things, moving forward. As a part of this push, he should face none other than the company’s franchise player at the showcase of immortals, this year.

Not many men can boast about hunting down Roman Reigns i.e. the poster boy of the company. Drew McIntyre is one of those rarest names who did that effectively by his own hands on the post-Fastlane episode of WWE Raw. This is why we have not seen the Big Dog in the next episode of the show in Chicago.

Will Roman Reigns accept Drew McIntyre’s challenge?

This rivalry will definitely continue for the Wrestlemania 35 season and then culminate a big-time matchup. But there are some backstage concerns around Drew McIntyre that raised eyebrows of the WWE creative team. He may not be physically well enough for the past few weeks that could create a bar for his future push.

As per the reports of PWInsider.com, Drew McIntyre is dealing with an illness for the past sometimes. There’s no confirmed update on what the issue may be. But he has been able to perform inside the ring even after dealing with the issue. This work ethic makes him one of the top superstars from WWE’s flagship brand.

“On that note, PWInsider now reports that there have been backstage talks regarding McIntyre’s health over the past few days. Apparently, McIntyre worked this past weekend’s WWE live events as well as this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, despite dealing with a sickness.” (courtesy SportsKeeda.com)

We might get an update on Drew McIntyre on the upcoming episode of WWE Raw in case his injury gets worse. However, that’d be a rare thing as WWE already inserted him into a feud against Roman Reigns. No matter what, Vince McMahon would like these two to deliver a solid match on the Wrestlemania 35 night.

Before that, the Scottish Psychopath can’t expect to take a break from WWE schedule. Prior to this, Drew McIntyre destroyed Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins in two consecutive weeks. He picked up two clean pinfall wins over them that’s a rare accolade for a superstar in the WWE. The third one from the Shield faction i.e. Roman Reigns is waiting on his list on a bigger stage like Wrestlemania.
