Wrestlemania 33 will mark the Undertaker’s 25th appearance on the show that has become synonymous with his name. It will be a monumental occasion for him and a big opponent was expected to wrestle with him.
Earlier, John Cena’s name was speculated but at the very last moment, Vince McMahon decided to go with none but Roman Reigns. Considering the Boss’ vendetta; he kept pushing Reigns and it might very well turn out to be the main event of the night on April 2nd, 2017.
The chances are high of this one contest going down last on the match card considering that Undertaker was the main event the last time WWE hosted Wrestlemania at the same venue of Citrus Bowl. Roman Reigns is expected to come out victorious in his biggest match of his life which means another coronation might be in store for him at the end of the show.
Furthermore, there’s always a speculation regarding Undertaker’s career with every year’s Wrestlemania. We have previously reported the company is teasing the same in the Kids’ Magazine. Also, they came up with a poll on their official website fuelling up the matter.
The poll was to know the audience’s opinion of whether the Big Dog is capable of defeating the Phenom in his own yard or not. Interestingly, they even added one option where it says Roman reigns will be the one to retire the greatest performer to step in the pro-wrestling industry. Here are those three options:
– Yes, the Big Dog will end The Phenom’s in-ring career.
– No, Reigns may win the match but he will not end The Deadman’s career.
– No, not only will Reigns not end The Undertaker’s career, he won’t win the match.
No official stipulation regarding Taker’s retirement was added to this contest. So, it is quite surprising that the company itself is teasing it. Once again, it is due to their penchant of keep pushing Roman Reigns to that untouchable place. If the creative plans are kept intact, then Undertaker might suffer his second loss in this outing.
