WWE News: Zack Ryder To Undergo Knee Surgery

The Hype Bros have been the most energetic guys in the WWE locker room. They tried their luck in the NXT roster to win the Tag Team title but never got the break. During the WWE Draft, Mojo Rawley was drafted to Smackdown Live to get along with his partner Zack Ryder on the main roster as well.
This past week they became the No. 1 contender for the Smackdown Tag Team titles to face the Wyatt family in near future. However, their opportunity has suffered a major setback with the breaking news of Ryder’s sudden injury, which has turned out to be severe.
After the No. 1 contender’s battle royal got finished, we saw Ryder limping off after he hurt his knee in the match. After Smackdown, he gave us an update that an MRI will determine his fate. Now reports suggest he’ll have to undergo a knee injury.
Getting knee surgery 2day & missing #RogueOne…but everything happens for a reason…I’ll be back…WrestleMania 32 was just the beginning!

Furthermore, the WWE Doctor Chris Robinson described Ryder’s situation by commenting:
“We think he injured his kneecap or his patella. We think it popped out and then popped back in, so we’re just going to do an MRI to make sure that there is not cartilage damage or some tendon tearing, stuff like that. Hopefully there’s not and it’ll be a shorter rehab period. If there is, there’s a different road we might have to go down that may take longer to get him to recover.”
We expect that on the next episode of Smackdown Live, we’ll learn which team will become the new No. 1 contender for the Tag Team titles.
