Ronda Rousey has been a nightmare to many of the WWE Women’s Division since her entry back in the 2018 Royal Rumble. Those armbars and judo moves forced some of her opponents to take hard bumps that they might never forget. Ask Stephanie McMahon for confirmation who ended up receiving a broken arm or Alexa Bliss who for real picked up a concussion by going up against the UFC Hall of Famer.
However, when it comes to the Money in the Bank premium live event conducted by the WWE, it’s safe to say that Ronda Rousey would love to wipe out all the memories from this particular show, or else she would end up having nightmares.
WWE Smackdown: Ronda Rousey Rips Top Superstar For “Living Off The Crumbs” They’ve Thrown
Back in the 2018 edition of Money in the Bank event, Ronda Rousey competed in her first PPV match in WWE against then-Raw Women’s Champion Nia Jax. After initial domination by the champion, the challenger performed a modified Rock Bottom and then attempted her pendant armbar to inch closer to a win.
Just at this point, Ms. Money in the Bank Alexa Bliss appeared and attacked Ronda Rousey from behind with her Money in the Bank briefcase to cause a disqualification. Thus Jax retained the title via disqualification while Bliss continued to attack Rousey with the MITB briefcase.
WWE Smackdown: Ronda Rousey Comments On Choking Out Liv Morgan With Her Thighs
Liv Morgan cashed in Money in the Bank contract on Ronda Rousey in 2022
Four years later, Ronda Rousey returned to Money in the Bank, this time as the Smackdown Women’s Champion to defend the title against Natalya Neidhart. After a back-and-forth encounter, she retained the title via submission but ended up injuring her leg.
Just like smelling blood in water like a shark. Ms. Money in the Bank Liv Morgan arrived at the ring and instantly cashed in her briefcase on the retaining champion. Taking advantage of the hurt leg, Liv picked up a roll-up win to become the new champion.
Misfortune for Ronda Rousey continued at Money in the Bank, this year as her tag team partner Shayna Baszler turned on her and brutally assaulted her before leaving the match. This allowed Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez to double-team on Rousey to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
If reports from Wrestling Observer are to be believed then Ronda Rousey is scheduled to leave WWE soon and she wants to put over Shayna before making the exit. But with three devastating experiences that she had at Money in the Bank, you bet the mainstream sports persona may just have the least interest in returning at this particular PLE.
