AJ Styles vs. John Cena vs. Dean Ambrose (Triple threat match for the WWE World title)
This was the first time in the WWE PPV history that the main event kicked off the show. After a back and forth going, both Cena and Ambrose applied their submission moves to Styles and he tapped out but that did not end the match because the referee was not clear about the winner. The match continued and when it looked that Cena would grab the upperhand, Styles re-entered the match with a steel chair to hit Cena and picked up the win to retain his title at No Mercy.
