Next Tuesday’s WWE NXT episode will witness the return of musician Poppy. This is supposed to continue the affiliation between the latter one with WWE’s black and yellow brand as she has previously made a few appearances on the show. No word is available on what WWE has planned for Poppy, but there are some rumors available on her possibly pursuing an in-ring career.
This week’s WWE NXT featured a backstage segment where one-half of the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions, Candice LeRae went on a rant about why NXT keeps bringing Poppy back. She then wondered if Poppy is trying to become the next Bad Bunny. (The Grammy-award winning rapper had a successful run in the WWE earlier this year that carried him through the Royal Rumble 2021 and WrestleMania 37)
Poppy has done a significant amount of Loud music work over the past several years on behalf of WWE NXT. Her “Say Cheese” single is currently being used as the NXT theme song, which she performed live at NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver Night Two during the WrestleMania 37 Weekend.
Triple H tweeted out about Poppy’s return and wrote, “You can hear her sound on each episode and next week you can see her BACK @WWENXT on @USA_Network… @poppy is #NXTLOUD… Poppy is #WWENXT!!!!!”
The musician responded saying, “Let’s go Mr. H [horns sign emoji]”
LeRae also tweeted about Poppy’s return and possibly hinting a future segment with her, “Uuuuugh! Are we STILL talking about @poppy coming to NXT next week? How about we talk about something that matters like…. I dunno…. the #WWENXT Women’s Tag Team Champions.”
Poppy responded, “see you real, real soon. #WWENXT [black heart emoji] [yellow heart emoji]”

Ember Moon vs Dakota Kai announced for WWE NXT
Next week’s WWE NXT will also feature Ember Moon vs. Dakota Kai which appeared to be a plug-in for Raquel Gonzalez defending her NXT Women’s Championship against Moon at NXT TakeOver: In Your House 2021.
This week, a furious Moon hit the ring and called out NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez as she wanted revenge for how the latter hurt Shotzi Blackheart, last week. Gonzalez appeared to get involved in a brawl as Dakota Kai attacked Moon from behind in the middle of the ring, and laid her out.
Moon was later interviewed backstage by McKenzie Mitchell where she promised to start taking pieces away from Gonzalez, starting with Kai, next week. She also noted on taking away the NXT Women’s Title at the upcoming TakeOver: In Your House event which was later declared.
