Cora Jade hasn’t been seen on WWE NXT programming for the past several months but now she’s back onboard, eyeing the prime women’s championship of the show. In a shocking turn of events, she came back and attacked the current champion which was not expected, at all. Alongside her, one more name is likely to be in the race of winning the gold.

Coming off her fresh WWE NXT women’s championship victory at NXT Stand & Deliver 2023, Indi Hartwell went through her first title defense in last night’s edition of NXT. She put her newly won championship on the line against another contender from Saturday’s six-way ladder match, Zoey Stark. This match after these two superstars had a confrontation in the opening segment.

Stark put up a strong effort against Hartwell, but in the end, the champion emerged victorious. After Stark connected with a belly-to-back suplex, Hartwell rolled out of her reach. Stark wanted to for the cover when Hartwell reversed her and pinned Stark’s shoulder down for the three-count. As she celebrated in the ring, the target on her back was quickly realized.

A three-way feud could brew on WWE NXT

Tiffany Stratton came out on the ramp to indicate that she was gunning for the WWE NXT Women’s Title. As Indi was distracted, Cora Jade made a surprise return to NXT, and stunned Hartwell with an attack from behind, before planting her to the mat with a DDT. As Hartwell fell, Jade picked up her title and uttered the following, “I still run this place!”

Jade dropped the title back down to Hartwell before walking out of the ring. On her way to the back, Jade had a confrontation with Tiffany who was still standing on the ramp. It appears that WWE wants to set up a triple threat featuring these two challengers and the champion at the next upcoming NXT Battleground PLE.
