Several WWE NXT roster members were drafted to the main roster during the two-night roster shakeup process, namely the 2023 Draft. That ensures that a big void could be there on the NXT roster in due course once Backlash premium live event gets over, this weekend. But prior to that, we expect another big episode, tonight on the USA Network.
In the latest, it has been announced on Twitter by the WWE that Gigi Dolin will face former tag team partner Jacy Jayne on the Tuesday night episode of WWE NXT. It was also added that Dolin will have her brother at ringside to watch the fight.

Dolin vs. Jayne to continue on NXT
The reason behind bringing Dolin’s family member at ringside is due to the fact that she had often spoken of her brother as the inspiration behind her success. Now, the former WWE NXT women’s tag team champion hopes that her success in WWE would help herself and her brother to escape the painful and traumatizing childhood experiences they had to go through.
The rivalry between Dolin and Jayne started after the latter betrayed Dolin during a Ding Dong Hell Segment hosted by DAMAGE CTRL leader Bayley, earlier this year. Dolin previously defeated Jayne at WWE NXT Roadblock, to seek revenge against her former WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship partner. But WWE reportedly wants Jayne to be elevated which may give her the win, this week.

Title Match announced for this week’s WWE NXT
Also, set for this week’s WWE NXT is a women’s tag team championship match where the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn will defend their titles against Katana Chance and Kayden Carter. Irrespective of the winners of this match, it appears that the titles will have to change hands since all four of these names have recently been called to the main roster.
During this past week’s episode of SmackDown, Fyre, and Dawn were fresh off being drafted to the blue brand, as declared by WWE Hall of Famers Shawn Michaels and Road Dogg. Then on last night during the Night Two of WWE Draft, Chance and Carter were promoted to Raw. If WWE is not willing to crown new champions then the champions will have to work on both WWE NXT and main roster shows.
