A new WWE NXT Women’s Champion is to be crowned in due course as the title is currently in a vacated state after the former champion had to relinquish the belt due to an injury. Several emerging Superstars are in line to grab the opportunity and become the new champion and a tournament has now been officially announced giving equal opportunities to these superstars.
After Indi Hartwell vacated the WWE NXT Women’s Championship this past Tuesday on NXT programming, the tournament was already in the pipeline now, the bracket for the tournament to crown the new champion is officially put in place. The number of competitors included in the tourney are the former champion, Roxanne Perez, former tag champion Gigi Dolin alongside Tiffany Straton, Jacy Jane, Lyra Valkyria, Kiana James, Fallon Henley, and Cora Jade.

Within the eight competitors, Tiffany Stratton vs. Gigi Dolin alongside Lyra Valkyria vs. Kiana James was announced for this week’s WWE NXT episode to square off in quarterfinals bouts. Roxanne Perez vs. Jacy Jayne and Cora Jade vs. Fallon Henley will take place on May 16 in the other quarterfinal matches.

Some of the bitter rivals will be participating in this tourney which keeps on the chances alive for interferences. Jade and Valkyrie as well as Dolin and Jane are a couple of feuds that are expected to progress forward as the tournament progresses. While nothing is confirmed, Tiffany Stratton remains the fan-favorite to emerge as the winner and become the new WWE NXT Women’s Champion.
The final of the tournament will take place on May 28 at WWE NXT Battleground premium live event. As noted above, Indi Hartwell had to vacate the title after her first successful defense as she was dealing with an ankle injury. Plus, she was also called up to the main roster as part of the Raw roster during the Draft.
