WWE delivered a big show in the form of NXT Heatwave 2023, this week, but next week’s episode is going to be even bigger. We will receive a new number-one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship. Plus, a steel cage match will go down with the stipulation suggesting that a set of former NXT tag team champions could find their way back on TV.

At NXT Heatwave 2023, NXT Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton appeared in a promo and claimed that she will go down as a better NXT Women’s Champion than Bayley, Asuka, Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair by the end of the ongoing season dubbed as the “Summer of Tiff Tiff.”

The segment was interrupted by Gigi Dolin, Kiana James, Blair Davenport, and Roxanne Perez as they all wanted a shot at the NXT Women’s Title. A brawl broke out featuring these four women while Tiffany rolled out of the ring.

Later the night on NXT Heatwave 2023, Tiffany announced a Fatal-4-Way with the lineup being Roxanne Perez vs. Gigi Dolin vs. Kiana James vs. Blair Davenport for next week to determine her next challenger over the NXT Women’s Title.

Tiffany defeated Lyra Valkyria in the finale of a tournament in one of the main events of NXT Battleground 2023 to capture her first title win in what appeared to be only the 24th televised match of her career. Moving on, Tiffany defeated Thea Hail of Chase U, twice to retain the title.

NXT Heatwave 2023: Challenge issued by The Creeds for The Dyad

Also on NXT Heatwave 2023, Ivy Nile defeated Ava Raine (The Rock’s daughter) in the latter’s first solo match on NXT TV. Nile forced Ava to tap out via the Dragon Sleeper submission after which Nile and The Creed Brothers joined forces to kidnap Ava from the arena.

Later the night on NXT Heatwave 2023, Nile and The Creeds appeared in a promo to issue a challenge to The Dyads for a rematch. The Creeds would only return Ava if Dyad compete in a Steel Cage Match against them on next week’s NXT. Also, a win for The Creeds will drag them back to WWE NXT programming. Later that night, Joe Gacy, leader of the Schism accepted the challenge to make the match, official for the August 29 episode.
