ToggleWWE NXT tag team division received a re-entry in the form of two Indian Superstars who hope to earn respect from their opponents. After a long time, Indus Sher – Veer Mahaan and Sanga reunited for their first match as a team on WWE programming and left a valiant message.
As seen on the weekly episode of WWE NXT, Indus Sher quickly picked up a win over NXT enhancement talents George Cannon and Ariel Dominguez. Mahaan picked up the win after delivering a cutter maneuver on Cannon. This marked their first win on WWE’s developmental show since June 10, 2020, that is after more than two years.
Reason WWE NXT To Continue Crossovers With Raw And Smackdown
Veer Mahaan and Sanga dominated in their in-ring return
After the match, Indus Sher cut a promo calling out The Creed Brothers, as Julius and Brutus Creed watched the match on from a backstage monitor. The two Indians also noted how they are superstars in India but in USA, they’ll have to beat the respect out of their upcoming opponent. WWE is yet to confirm a potential bout between Indus Sher and The Creed Brothers bout but the build has been ongoing for this match on WWE NXT over the past few weeks.
Indus Sher started on WWE NXT brand two years ago
After getting disbanded from WWE NXT, Indus Sher briefly reunited at the WWE Network Specials Superstar Spectacle event in January 2021. The team of Sanga and Veer Mahan went in a different direction as the latter was called up to the WWE Raw roster last year with The Lion of India gimmick while Sanga remained on the developmental brand as a singles competitor.
Mahaan’s stint on WWE Raw never reached any direction and he wrapped it up with a win over Beaux Keller on August 15. As for Sanga, he last wrestled a singles match against Von Wagner on the September 14 episode of WWE NXT. According to the reports from Wrestling Observer, Indus Sher’s current stint on Tuesday nights isn’t expected to last long, as WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H has imminent plans to call them up to WWE’s main roster.
Mahaan and Sanga started in WWE NXT back in 2020, where they had Malcolm Bivens as their manager. But their partnership didn’t last long as Bivens was released and WWE thought of making them singles competitors until that plan failed miserably.
