Quite an eventful night of WWE NXT went down this week where we have received a new challenger to the NXT Women’s Championship. Thea won a battle royal for a shot at the title held by Tiffany Stratton. Bron Breakker issued a challenge to the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion to set up a possible title match on the main roster.
Speaking of the main roster, three superstars across Raw and Smackdown were seen in action in three separate matches on this week’s WWE NXT. First among them was Baron Corbin who made his return to NXT, last week by attacking NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes.

Corbin and Ali competed on June 6 Episode of WWE NXT
Corbin opened this week’s WWE NXT and implied that the NXT roster has gotten soft and weak, especially with the new NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes. Ilja Dragunov interrupted this promo and he wanted Corbin to back up his words in a match, later that night.
That match never took place as Bron Breakker attacked Ilja in a backstage segment. But Corbin was in action against Hayes’ best buddy Trick Williams. Williams got the early upper hand on Corbin early, but the veteran wisely targeted Williams’ knee. After one final blow to it, Corbin ended the contest with an End of Days for the pinfall win.
Soon after this match, Free Agent Mustafa Ali hit the ring with Joe Gacy after getting into a physical altercation with him on last week’s WWE NXT. Ali survived Gacy’s devastating Uranage and managed to keep him down enough to execute an incredible 450-splash for the pin to win.
WWE NXT: Dana Brooke returns for a battle royal on June 6
The other in-ring returnee to WWE NXT, this week was Dana Brooke who reached the WWE Performance Center to be a part of the Battle Royal for the NXT Women’s Championship. Apart from Brooke, the other participants in the match were Jakara Jackson, Lash Legend, Elektra Lopez, Lola Vice, Tatum Paxley, Gigi Dolin, Jacy Jayne, Cora Jade, Kiana James, Roxanne Perez, Lyra Valkyria, Fallon Henley, Yulisa Leon, Valentina Feroz, Brooklyn Barrow, Kelani Jordan, and Thea Hail.
Ultimately, Brooke’s attempt to challenge the champion was unsuccessful as Thea Hail won the match to secure a shot at the WWE NXT Women’s Championship. Brooke and Jade were the final two eliminations in the match by the winner.
