Vic Joseph and McKenzie Mitchell met while working in the WWE

Vic Joseph signed with WWE in 2017 by replacing Tom Phillips on WWE Main Event. A month later, he would begin to work on the 205 Live brand. After briefly working on WWE NXT UK, he joined Raw’s announce team in September 2019. After getting removed from Raw in July 2020, Joseph would join the NXT commentary team and he is still present in that role, to this date.

McKenzie Mitchell started working as a journalist by working with Fox Sports West and Fan Girl Sports. In 2016, she stepped into the world of professional wrestling by joining Impact Wrestling as a backstage interviewer. Three years later, she would be signed to the WWE. She has primarily worked on the NXT brand but she has also served as a backstage interviewer on selected Raw and SmackDown episodes.

After appearing on Raw in an occasional appearance in November 2021, reports started swirling that McKenzie Mitchell was apparently moved to the main roster. Due to conducting several interviews on that night and since WWE’s red brand was lacking a prominent broadcasting face, many thought the call-up was imminent. However, that’s not the case Mitchell remains associated with the NXT brand only.
