Things have changed quickly on WWE NXT over the course of the past couple of days as the top talent Mandy Rose is gone. The former NXT Women’s Champion has been fired from the WWE due to the adult content she was posting. WWE was noticing this and they pulled the trigger on Mandy’s removal from the roster during this week.
As a result, she ended up dropping the WWE NXT Women’s Championship to Roxanne Perez who is just 21 years old. She won the title match opportunity by winning the Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline and just a couple of nights later, she is now the reigning champion on Tuesday nights.
WWE NXT: Mandy Rose’s Private Videos Without Clothes Leaked On The Internet Before Her Release
According to the Wrestling Observer, Mandy losing the WWE NXT Women’s Title on December 13 episode wasn’t the original plan but rather it was just a last-minute decision. Her impending firing from the WWE played a role in Perez winning the title,
“There’s a lot to the Mandy Rose firing today and the title change last night was a last minute decision based on the fact she was getting fired and not the original plan.”
Mandy Rose dragged trouble towards herself on WWE NXT
The source added that the company officials originally didn’t have a problem with the former WWE NXT star putting up adult content since they thought it was only going to be bikini photos just like she posts on Twitter or Instagram. Over time, she was showing off a lot that apparently crosses WWE’s PG limits,
“From what I’ve been told, her subscription site through FanTime, where she posted bikini shots, and this and that, and then recently it became more than that.
We saw a lot more of Mandy Rose and apparently it got to the degree where WWE was like, ‘this isn’t gonna fly.’”
Perez ended a historic title reign in NXT
Thus, Perez was able to dethrone Mandy from her 413-day title reign which is the third-longest Women’s Title reign in WWE NXT history, only behind Shayna Baszler’s 416 days and Asuka’s 522 days. It began all the way back at Halloween Havoc 2021 where she defeated Raquel Gonzalez in a Trick or Street Fight. Moving on, Mandy also became the only WWE NXT and NXT UK Women’s Champion at Worlds Collide by unifying these two belts by winning a Triple Threat.
