The latest episode of WWE NXT was highlighted with a championship match where the reigning NXT Women’s Champion successfully defended her title. A chaotic main event No DQ encounter was in store on the show to injure a superstar. Furthermore, some big announcement was in store on the September 5 episode that took place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida,
– Tiffany Stratton (c) defeated Kiana James to retain the WWE NXT Women’s Championship in the opening contest. Stratton kicked out of the 401 finisher and raked Kiana’s eyes to take advantage. She eventually landed the Prettiest Moonsault Ever for the win.
After the match, Becky Lynch appeared on the titantron to inform that she’s coming to WWE NXT, next week to compete in a match over the title against Tiffany.
– Ilja Dragunov defeated Oro Mensah with Meta Four standing at ringside. Ilja dodged a Torpedo attempt, delivered a powerbomb, and then followed it up with the Torpedo Moskau for the win.

WWE NXT Results (05/09/23): New contender’s match announced
– WWE NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes announced that next week, Wes Lee and Ilja Dragunov will have a match for the number-one contender’s position and the winner will face him for the NXT Title at NXT No Mercy PPV set for later this month.
– Nathan Frazer defeated Duke Hudson in a Group B Match for the WWE NXT Global Heritage Invitational to advance. Frazer delivered a hurricanrana to escape a Razor’s Edge attempt and hit a splash off the top rope for the win.
– Tyler Bate defeated Dabba-Kato in the next match. In a superhuman attempt, Bate caught Kato with an Airplane Spin and ascended to the top to land a Corkscrew for the win.
– Mustafa Ali defeated Dragon Lee with “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio acting as the Special Guest Referee. With this win, Ali will now challenge Dirty Dom for the North American Championship at No Mercy PPV. Dominik counted fast to hand over the win to Ali.
WWE Fastlane 2023: John Cena Expected To Appear On October PLE
– Butch vs. Axiom in the next NXT Global Heritage Invitational tournament ended in a Time Limit Draw. Both the superstars earned a point, each.
– Thea Hail defeated Gigi Dolin with help from Jacy Jayne and Blair Davenport in a singles contest. With the referee not watching, Blair planted Dolin outside the ring after which Thea tapped her out with the Kimura submission.
WWE NXT Results (05/09/23): No DQ main event match
– Bron Breakker defeated Von Wagner in a No DQ Match in the main event of this week’s WWE NXT. The finish saw Breakker low-blowing Wagner and then spearing him for the win. After the match, Breakker attacked Von with a Steel Chair and then dropped the Steel Steps on Von’s head to end the show.
