This week’s WWE NXT was all hyped up around a major announcement that was slated to change things in a big way for the brand. All the fallouts from the bygone NXT TakeOver In Your House were there on the show. Also, the Cruiserweight Title was on the line on the episode that aired from the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida. Check out the results,
– WWE NXT General Manager William Regal came out and remembered all the good times he spent with the black-and-yellow brand for the 7 years. Regal then hinted at stepping down from his post when NXT Champion Karrion Kross and Scarlett came out. Kross said we knew this day would come and he wants to feel this moment. Kross then called Regal pathetic as the moment has finally arrived.
Kross wanted Regal to say that he was about to step down from his spot. Samoa Joe then made his return to WWE NXT as the audience erupted.

Regal said that he wanted Joe to be the new NXT General Manager, but Joe declined that offer. Joe didn’t think himself to be the right person to fill his shoes. However, Joe will make sure that Regal gets the respect that he deserves.
Regal agreed but said Joe can’t put his hands on anyone unless provoked. Joe then got into Kross’ face as Kross and Scarlett left the ring. Joe and Regal shook hands to end the segment.
– Breezango defeated Imperium in the opening contest of WWE NXT. Breeze rolled up Aichner of Imperium to get the win after which Imperium attacked Breezango after the match. They put down Breeze with the big double-team European Bomb on Breeze before leaving.
Alexa Bliss Announced For A Match At WWE Hell In A Cell 2021
– Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly got into a brawl backstage after which William Regal announced that the two of them will face off in a pure Wrestling Match at NXT Great American Bash. Cole provoked Samoa Joe by pushing him during his brawl with O’Reilly. Joe then choked him out with the Coquina Clutch.

– Santos Escobar stated in a backstage promo that he’ll take the NXT North American Title away from Bronson Reed.
– Kushida (c) defeated Trey Baxter in an Open Challenge to retain WWE NXT Cruiserweight Championship. Kushida rolled Baxter into the Hoverboard Lock for a quick submission finish. After the match, Kyle O’Reilly challenged Kushida to a non-title match next week which was accepted.
– The new Million Dollar Champion LA Knight talked about how he has looked up to the “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase throughout his life. Knight said it would be an honor if DiBiase would officially crown him with the Million Dollar Champion. DiBiase was happy to do so as he was present inside the ring.
Knight then surprisingly intended to drop the Million Dollar Title but proceeded to punch DiBiase. DiBiase took a bump on his back when Knight attacked DiBiase’s bodyguards. Knight then kicked on a fallen DiBiase which led Cameron Grimes to run out and make the save. Grimes clotheslined Knight out of the ring and checked on DiBiase.
WWE NXT Results (15/06/21): Women’s Champion in action
– WWE NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai defeated Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter in a tag team match. Kai connected with the GTK on Carter to get the win.
– NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell attacked Io Shirai in the middle of the ring. Zoey Stark made the save as she fought off both the champions. Shirai then hit the champions with a double springboard missile dropkick to get them out of the ring.
– Johnny Gargano told Samoa Joe that he saw him choke out Adam Cole earlier, which he liked. Joe told him to get out of his face when Pete Dunne arrived and had a staredown with him.
– Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher defeated Grizzled Young Veterans in a Tornado Tag Team Match in the main event segment of WWE NXT. Ciampa and Thatcher applied a double submission to Drake, Thatcher with the leg and Ciampa with the arm. Drake had to tap out in the middle of the ring.
– NXT Interviewer McKenzie Mitchell caught up with William Regal and Samoa Joe backstage where Joe stated that things will be pretty different around here, from now onwards. Regal agreed before leaving the arena as the show went off the air.
