WWE NXT aired this week with a main-event match where the NXT North American Title was on the line inside a Steel Cage. Toni Storm was in singles action against Zoey Stark. Also, WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase was in attendance. Here are the results from the show that took place at the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida.
– WWE NXT opening match saw, Toni Storm defeating Zoey Stark in a rematch from TakeOver: Stand and Deliver pre-show. Toni hit a German Suplex and then connected with the finisher Storm Zero but still failed to get a pinfall win. Storm then hit a new finisher, a spinning driver for the pin to win.
– Jake Atlas defeated Cameron Grimes in the next match. Grimes readied to hit his opponent with the Cave-In finisher but WWE Hall Of Famer Ted DiBiase made a live appearance to distract him with a signature laugh. Atlas rolled up Grimes from behind for the win.
Grimes chased DiBiase, backstage, and found him sitting inside a limousine. DiBiase mouthed, “Not bad kid, but you’re still no Million Dollar Man!” before leaving in the limo.

– Pete Dunne noted how he is focused on becoming the next WWE NXT Champion in near future.
– Killian Dain defeated Alexander Wolfe hitting a crossbody maneuver ducking a chair shot from the latter. Imperium’s Barthel and Aichner turned on Wolfe after the match as they attacked him with a double-team Imperium Bomb.
WWE NXT Results (18/05/21): Legado del Fantasma vs Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher
– Legado del Fantasma’s Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde defeated Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher in a tag team match. Grizzled Young Veterans appeared at ringside, double team-ed on Ciampa, and then slammed him into the edge of the apron while the referee wasn’t watching. Wilde and Mendoza gained the upper hand by earning a double-team pin on Ciampa, after this blindside attack.
– Bobby Fish appeared in an interview on WWE NXT to mention that he looks forward to having payback against Pete Dunne and Oney Lorcan for injuring him at War Games PPV in November. Fish challenged Dunne to a match that was confirmed for next week.
The Miz Reportedly Injured At WWE Wrestlemania Backlash 2021
– Sarray defeated Aliyah by putting on a dominant performance. A missile dropkick, a running dropkick against the bottom rope was hit while the match was finished with a big suplex.
– Hit Raw faction “Top Dolla” AJ Francis and Ashante “Thee” Adonis defeated Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari in tag team action. Dolla connected with a big superkick on Nese followed by a big slam off his shoulders to Daivari to secure the pinfall win.
– Bronson Reed pinned Johnny Gargano (c) in a Steel Cage Match to become the new WWE NXT North American Champion in the final match of the night. Reed took control of the match after delivering a Super Powerbomb on Gargano from the top rope. Reed hit the top of the cage and executed a Tsunami Splash from up there to get the victory. An emotional Reed celebrated his first title win to close the show.
