Building things up toward New Year’s Evil, the new number-one contender for WWE NXT Championship sent a message to the champion. Isla Dawn continued her ambushes toward Alba Fyre. Plus, two huge title matches were also on the card for the December 20 episode of the weekly NXT show that went down from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Check out the results,
– Carmelo Hayes (with Trick Williams) defeated Axiom in the opening contest of WWE NXT. While the referee was distracted, Williams shoved Axiom to the mat from the apron. This allowed Hayes to deliver a leg-drop off the top rope for the win. Once the match was over, Axiom dropped Williams with a moonsault off the ropes.
WWE Smackdown: Roman Reigns Addresses John Cena Facing Him On December 30
– Zoey Stark defeated Nikkita Lyons in the next match. Lyons kicked out of a roundhouse kick, and delivered a right hand to Stark, and a superkick. She went for a roll-up, but Stark reversed the fall by grabbing the ropes for the win.
WWE NXT Results (20/12/22): NXT Women’s Tag Team Title Match
– Kayden Carter and Katana Chance (c) defeated Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley and Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne) for WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships. Chance tagged herself in and delivered a codebreaker. Carter tagged in as Nile applied the Dragon Sleeper. Carter took the help of the ropes to reverse the hold to secure the pinfall win.

– WWE Hall of Famer Booker T had a sitdown interview with new WWE NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez and praised her for her talent that will help her in the long run for winning more titles.
– Apollo Crews had a promo session that was interrupted by Carmelo Hayes. The verbal exchange between the two had set up an encounter that is yet to be officially announced.
– Alba Fyre was heading into the ring when Isla Dawn ambushed her from behind and blew red powder into her face.
– Elektra Lopez defeated Indi Hartwell in a short match after using a pair of brass knuckles. Hartwell was looking for a move, but Lopez hit her with a right hand to get the easy win.
– Alba Fyre headed to the ring for her match with Sol Ruca but Isla Dawn came right after her and sent her to the ring post and ring steps. Then she then picked up Fyre’s bat and hit her arm with it.
WWE NXT Results (20/12/22): NXT Tag Team Title Match
– The New Day (c) (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) defeated Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen (with Fallon Henley) for WWE NXT Tag Team Championships. Briggs had Kingston on his shoulders as Jensen ascended to the top. Woods knocked him off the top as Kingston delivered a Trouble In Paradise to Briggs. Woods got the tag and connected with the elbow drop for the win.
– In the main event segment, Grayson Waller had a confrontation with WWE NXT Champion Bron Breakker. Breakker tackled Waller with a Spear, but Waller had worn a steel plate and a vest in his jacket. Breakker was unconscious as Waller posed standing over him with the NXT title to end the show.
