Roxanne Perez is one of the brightest talents to be signed on the NXT brand over the timespan of a year. She made a sudden impact after arriving on the NXT brand. Within a few months, she became the top champion on Tuesday nights and now she could possibly be gearing up for a main roster appearance. The indication was made on the October 14 episode of WWE SmackDown on FOX.
On that night, Roxanne Perez made her first appearance on the blue brand and it was certainly not her last one. During the show, the former Women’s Tag Team champion from NXT hand-picked Raquel Rodriguez to face Cora Jade on the October 18 episode of NXT. This show also served as the go-home edition for the 2022 Halloween Havoc.

In addition to choosing Rodriguez as Jade’s opponent, Roxanne Perez also competed in a six-woman tag team match to make her in-ring debut on the main roster. She teamed up with Raquel Rodriguez and Shotzi to take on Damage CTRL – Bayley and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Dakota Kai and IYO SKY to come up short. It was the debutant who suffered the pin-fall loss at the hands of Bayley.

Roxanne Perez is likely to arrive on the main roster sooner than later
If reports are to be believed then the NXT Superstar is likely to get a chance, sooner than later to seek redemption. PWInsider reported that WWE was “really happy” with Roxanne Perez’s work on SmackDown and the belief is that she is the right-most fit for the Women’s roster. Hence, there have already been discussions about the first-ever ROH Women’s Champion to be used on Smackdown, again.
These talks fall in line with the reports that WWE is planning on doing more crossovers between Raw, Smackdown, and NXT as a part of which Roxanne Perez appeared on the blue brand, in the first place. Her long-term rival, Cora Jade also appeared on Raw to choose an opponent for Perez in a Pick Your Poison stipulation for NXT in a singles contest heading into Halloween Havoc.
Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade have been former tag teammates cum women’s tag team champions but the latter took a heel turn to get involved in a feud in NXT. In July, the two captured the titles but the reign was short-lived as a few weeks later, Jade would turn on Perez, which also cost her a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship. Jade then gave away the tag title in the trash. As the titles were vacated, Kayden Carter and Katana Chance won the gold.
