The next WWE NXT TakeOver event has been confirmed for the SummerSlam 2021 Weekend. It was announced during this week’s NXT episode that the 36th edition of TakeOver will take place on Sunday, August 22. This will be the day after the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view, which will take place on Saturday, August 21 from the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

It’s been reported that this TakeOver will be held at the Capitol Wrestling Center inside the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida although nothing has been officially noted on this. WWE NXT head honcho Triple H tweeted on the “Takeover: 36” event and wrote, “#GetReady #NXTTakeOver #WeAreNXT” to hype it up.

It was also confirmed during this week’s WWE NXT episode that the next two episodes will be airing on Syfy instead of the USA Network. Per the reports, NXT is being taped this week and moved from the USA Network to Syfy because of NBCUniversal airing The Olympics from Tokyo, Japan. As of now, the July 27 and the August 3 NXT episodes are scheduled to air on Syfy.
