The new NXT Champion Karrion Kross has dropped the WWE NXT Title during last night’s NXT episode on the USA Network.
As previously reported, Karrion Kross suffered a separated shoulder during his NXT Title win over Keith Lee in the main event of this past Saturday’s “Takeover: XXX” event. Kross and Scarlett kicked off the post-TakeOver NXT episode to announce that he was vacating the NXT Title due to the shoulder injury.

Kross appeared wearing a suit and a sling on his shoulder and thereby issuing a warning that Doomsday will still be coming to NXT because no matter ‘when the time is told, everybody pays the toll, and God help the obstacles that will be in his path.’ Scarlett placed an hourglass next to the NXT Title put on the mat and turned it upside down after Kross issued the warning before leaving the ring.

Kross was scheduled to undergo an MRI this past Monday and give an update on the injury but he didn’t open up on what doctors have found and how long he would be sidelined due to this shoulder injury. As of now, the process of finding a new holder of the NXT Title has already begun.
WWE NXT General Manager William Regal has announced a huge NXT Title match for next week’s special NXT Super Tuesday episode. It will be a Fatal 4 Way to crown the new NXT Champion. The match will be held under 60-Minute Iron Man Match rules. The competitors in this match are Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Finn Balor, and Adam Cole.

There’s more big news from NXT apart from the NXT Title match announcement as Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett made his return to the company during last night’s WWE NXT episode. Barrett did guest commentary at the NXT Arena on the campus of Full Sail University, along with Vic Joseph. WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix also joined them from home during this COVID-19 pandemic.
Barrett announced that he will be back at the NXT announce table for the NXT Super Tuesday episode next week where we receive the new NXT Title-holder. Tommaso Ciampa also returned, last night to turn heel where the team of Tyler Breeze and Fandango defeated the Imperium to become new NXT Tag Team Champions.
