With NXT Vengeance Day 2023, WWE’s third brand will start touring even beyond their friendly zone of Florida for the first time since the COVID pandemic. WWE is looking forward to making it a huge affair for the NXT brand and builds for the event via the announcement of matches have already begun.
As seen on the New Year’s Evil episode, Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin have now become the new number-one contenders for the WWE NXT Women’s Championship and both of them will be challenging the current champion at the NXT Vengeance Day 2023 pay-per-view event.

Battle Royal ended in controversy on NXT
A huge 20-woman number one contender battle royal went down during the January 10 edition of WWE NXT to determine the first superstar in line for a shot at Roxanne Perez’s title at the upcoming NXT Vengeance Day 2023 premium live event set within a month from now.
Dolin and Jayne – The Toxic Attraction members were the last two women left standing in the closing moments of the match. They exchanged forearms while standing on the middle rope. Jayne then delivered a final blow to Dolin and both women were seen crashing to the floor at the same time. Referees were in doubt about which one of them touched the floor first.

The officials ultimately decided that it was too close to make a call and hence both Dolin and Jayne were declared to be the winners of the match. As a result, they will be a part of the Triple Threat Match challenging Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Title at NXT Vengeance Day 2023.
Jayne and Dolin have been two-time former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions but this will be their first shot at the singles title to the NXT Women’s Title. As for Perez, she put an end to former Toxic Attraction leader Mandy Rose’s 413-day reign as NXT Women’s Champion on the December 13 episode and now she’s up for her first title defense.
