It’s safe to say that WWE NXT Women’s division is being ruled by the Toxic Attraction faction comprised of the Women’s Champion Mandy Rose and her allies Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne who also used to be former Women’s Tag Team Champions. Going by the storyline, Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade could have been involved in a long-term feud with them but the team has already been disbanded.
Apparently, WWE now has big plans for Nikkita Lyons, as the company’s creative team has been in talks to make her a strong character who could stand up to Mandy. Down the road, Lyons should end up being the WWE NXT Women’s Champion at some stage, according to the reports of Dave Meltzer on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio.

As of this week, Mandy Rose was gearing up to defend her title against Roxanne Perez on WWE NXT 2.0. This past Wednesday night, the one half of the Women’s Tag Champs, Perez got the opportunity to become a double champion if she could defeat Rose. But the former Ring of Honor Women’s Champion was eventually betrayed by her own tag team partner in Cora Jade as the ongoing title reign continues.
Moving on, the plan could be to set Lyons up as the future challenger and then the WWE NXT Women’s Champion. She is someone whom WWE officials have some high expectations from. There has been discussion within the creative team that Lyons is being earmarked for a run with the Women’s Title on the colorful brand of the WWE. But then again, it’s going to be a long process and Rose is not expected to drop her belt for a long time.

Mandy Rose having a lengthy title reign with WWE NXT Women’s Championship
It should be noted that Rose has already been enjoying a lengthy reign as the reigning WWE NXT Women’s Champion. Starting from the 2021 Halloween Havoc in November, she has been in the hold of the title for over 250 days. She has already successfully defended it against the likes of Io Shirai, Ivy Nile, Indi Hartwell, Cora Jade, Roxanne Perez, and Dakota Kai amongst others.
In the meantime, Lyons has just started to pick up pace in her career. She is one of the youngest members on the roster as she is just 22 years old. She signed a contract with WWE in 2021 and also made her debut that year on WWE 205 Live. Over the past several months, she has established herself as a prominent figure by feuding with the likes of Lash Legend and even a veteran Superstar in Natalya. Then she was on the shelf for a few weeks due to a knee injury.
Lyons has stepped up to Rose as a fill-in for Roxanne Perez, this week. However, Perez herself competed in the match before getting attacked by Jade. Rose and Lyons featured in singles action once before, that’s on the June 28 episode of WWE NXT 2.0 and she was able to pick a win via disqualification. Lyons also secured a win in a six-woman tag team match against The Toxic Attraction.
