A huge 20-Woman Battle Royal will take place on the July 19 edition of WWE NXT to determine the next challenger for the NXT Women’s Championship. Currently, the title-holder is Mandy Rose who successfully retained against Roxanne Perez on this week’s episode.
As seen on this past Wednesday night, Rose went up against the current Women’s Tag Team Champion with her partner Cora Jade at ringside. Perez entered the match in an injured state as someone attacked her in the parking lot, earlier on the night.

To the shock of the WWE Universe, Jade proceeded to turn on Perez as she hit her on the skull with the WWE NXT Women’s Title belt. Rose would retain her title by capitalizing on the turn-on as she hit the Bicycle Knee and secure the pinfall win. Jade would then proceed to attack Perez, brutally with the skateboard after the match to solidify her heel-turn.
Rose has been on a roll as the reigning WWE NXT Women’s Champion. She returned to the NXT brand, last July to form an ally with Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne to form Toxic Attraction. She won the title at Halloween Havoc last year by dethroning Raquel Gonzalez. Dolin and Jayne have also been the women’s tag champs twice since then.

“I could sit in my room and escape the chaos, slipping into a far away time or universe. As I learned to fight, I wondered if I could emulate my idols, and take the leap from page to reality. I could be everything I always wanted to be, I could be my own superhero. Break free of the world I lived in and inspire others, I could be a symbol.”
