WWE Raw general manager Kurt Angle announced a potential main event for Extreme Rules. It will take place to determine the next challenger for Brock Lesnar in the WWE.

And there’s no update when he will show up next in the WWE programming. But we will get to know who is going to be the number one contender for the Universal Championship (UC) at the upcoming PPV event.

There were many confusions regarding who’s going to be in a match against Brock Lesnar, next. Multiple names think themselves to be in the challenger’s place.

So, the officials came up with an idea of a multi-man match. They are yet to confirm how many superstars will compete in it. But one of those will earn an opportunity for a title match.

This multi-man match at Extreme Rules is likely to be the marquee match from the WWE Raw brand. The PPV will take place at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This is going to be the third straight PPV event without the Universal Championship being on the line.

Now, we have seen Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley sounded their view on this Extreme Rules match. They are two of the strongest superstars on the roster.

Hence, Angle inserted them into the upcoming bout. But the question remains how many more superstars will enter this match?

Wrestling Observer Newsletter came up with a recent report that gave a hint on this. It is going to be a six-way match, according to them. It means four more superstars will compete for the title opportunity.

Kevin Owens, Braun Strowman, Finn Balor and Baron Corbin will be those names to be added into this bout.

Inserting Strowman into this Extreme Rules match might raise some eyebrows. He is already the Money in the Bank briefcase holder in the WWE.

It gives him an automatic chance to have a title match anytime he wants after Brock Lesnar returns to the WWE. So, he should not expect another such chance.

We are likely to get more updates on this match when WWE Raw comes up with its next episode. Tensions will be running high among the prime superstars to earn a coveted place in this lifetime opportunity.

In a conclusion, it is likely that they will get the opportunity against Brock Lesnar at Summerslam.
