WWE RAW 17.04.2023 Results & Ratings Part 4

The main event of the night was booked for some nine minutes and it was a pretty entertaining match. But was it the best match of the night? Our pic for the best match of the night still remains Seth Rollins vs The Miz. But this match was pretty good as well.

The match was not dominated by either of the teams. At the end of the match, Matt Riddle pinned Finn Balor after a Corkscrew Moonsault. We do not understand why does it have to be Finn Balor all the time. He could have been a big star if he received a lift from Edge but even at the age of 49, Edge needs all the spotlights.

After the match, The Usos attacked Owens, Zayn, and Riddle. The Judgment Day also joined them and started beating them down. The LWO came out to help the babyface side. It was a massive fight and the crowd really loved it. The fight was really amazing at the end of the night and it would remind you of the Attitude Era days of WWE. The babyface side stood tall at the end as this week’s RAW went off air.

Overall it was an average week of Monday Night RAW with some excellent moments and some really bad ones. WWE made the right decision not to continue Dominik Mysterio vs. Rey Mysterio directly tonight and it mostly featured on a part of a different storyline. Things get boring like this. So they did the right thing.

And honestly, The Usos vs. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens storyline is getting boring now. It was definitely one of the best Tag Team Championship storylines that move towards WrestleMania but after seeing the same thing week after week, it is now pretty much boring.  Pretty unfortunate that WWE could not cash in on the hype of Sami Zayn.

About the matches of tonight’s RAW, Seth Rollins vs. the Miz was definitely the best match of the night. Kudos of The Miz for being featured in such an excellent match. The main event was pretty good as well and the ending segment was an excellent throwback to the gang war moments of the good old Attitude Era.

The promo from Trish Stratus was really amazing. She proved that even after 17 years of a retirement she can still gain heat when she grabs the mic. It was one of the best heel promos in the recent times of WWE. The segment between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar was pretty fun as well. The build up to their match at Backlash was really good.

But once again there is no World Championship segment, and we were not expecting any such segment either. Expect it or not, not booking such as segment will always remain a big drawback for any show. They are not even building any proper candidate who could challenge Roman Reigns in the future. Maybe they are not moving anywhere from Cody Rhodes. We give this week’s RAW 2 out of 5.
