In the main event of this week’s WWE Raw, Damage CTRL put the women’s tag team championships on the line. After putting the tag team division on notice by winning the titles from Raquel Rodriquez and Aliyah, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY dared to defend it against the returning Alexa Bliss and Asuka and in the process dropped the titles to them.
The match was booked after Alexa Bliss and Asuka issued a challenge to Damage CTRL to set up the main event of WWE Raw. During the match, Asuka escaped a Moonsault attempt from SKY and hit her with a stiff kick before tagging in Alexa Bliss. The Twisted Goddess then leaped off the top rope with her pendant Twisted Bliss move to get the pinfall win over SKY to become the new champions.

Via this win on WWE Raw, both women made history as they have now become three-time tag team champions. But Asuka, in particular, hit a separate milestone as pointed out by Public Enemies Podcast on Twitter.
The top WWE Raw Superstar is now the only woman in the company to hold the Women’s Tag Team Titles with three different partners namely Kairi Sane, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss,
“Asuka is the only woman to hold the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships with 3 different partners. Salute? #WWERAW”

Asuka and Alexa Bliss pulled off a shocking win on WWE Raw
Alexa Bliss herself is a three-time tag champ in the WWE as she previously won the titles twice with Nikki Cross before winning it back with Asuka. Sasha Banks is the only four-time women’s tag champ in WWE history.
Bliss and Asuka were originally written off TV ahead of WWE Extreme Rules, last month. They made their return on this week’s episode of WWE Raw and shocked the WWE Universe by doing the unthinkable by defeating Damage CTRL for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. This win is likely to continue their feud with DAMAGE CTRL for the foreseeable future.
While speaking in a WWE Digital Exclusive interview following WWE Raw, Bliss mentioned that they are exhausted after winning the titles but Asuka screamed at the top of her voice saying, “we are champions!” Bliss then also made it clear that they were confident about defeating Damage CTRL for the titles,
“We knew we could dethrone Damage CTRL, that is exactly what we decided to do and we came out on top.”
