Following Summerslam 2022, rumors were spread out on the internet about Becky Lynch possibly dealing with an injury. It was eventually confirmed in the opening segment of last night’s Raw as we now know that she is expected to miss at least several months of in-ring action, starting from right now.
The post-Summerslam 2022 edition of Monday Night Raw was kicked off with Becky Lynch coming out with her right arm hanging from a sling. In a promo session, she confirmed that her shoulder was separated on Saturday night during the Raw Women’s Championship match against Bianca Belair.

Becky Lynch also solidified her babyface turn from the PLE by saying the following,
“At SummerSlam, I am happy to say I finally remembered who the hell I am.”
She then called out WWE Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair as the duo showed respect to each other by hugging it out. After going to the backstage area, she got assaulted by Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY. Bianca Belair tried to make the save but she was too late.
WWE offered an update about Becky Lynch’s injury
Apparently, this attack was scripted to write Becky Lynch off WWE programming as she’ll require surgery to fix her shoulder. WWE then provided the following update regarding the top superstar’s injury,
“After suffering a separated shoulder in her RAW Women’s Title Match against Bianca Belair at SummerSlam, Becky Lynch’s injury was further exacerbated after an attack from Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY on RAW. As a result, Lynch is expected to be out for several months.”
It’s uncertain at this point whether Becky Lynch will undergo surgery to fix her separate shoulder or whether alternative treatment will be enough for healing purposes. According to Fightful Select, the surgery is yet to be confirmed. The source provided further details on the injury by saying that she separated her shoulder very early into her match against Belair, last Saturday.
As speculated earlier, the injury apparently happened after Belair badly connected with the Grand Slam on Becky Lynch, prompting the latter to roll out of the ring and pop her shoulder back into place. Showing tremendous resiliency, she continued the match for 16 more minutes despite all the pain to receive big props.
