Summerslam 2022 opened with the RAW Women’s Championship match where Becky Lynch challenged the champion, Bianca Belair. In a solid outing, Becky tried to hit the Manhandle Slam from the second rope, but Belair countered with a Spanish Fly and followed up with the KOD finisher to pick up the pin to win.
This was a redemption point for The EST of WWE, considering that these two also competed in last year’s SummerSlam over the SmackDown Women’s Title. On that particular occasion, Becky Lynch would make her WWE return to defeat Belair in just 26 seconds to win the title. Now, Belair pinned her at The Biggest Party of the Summer and also at Wrestlemania 38 Night Two.

A piece of big news coming out of Summerslam 2022 is that perhaps Becky Lynch has been injured coming out of that match. Many fans have noticed how she wasn’t looking comfortable with her right arm during the entire match.
Then a new photo surfaced online showing that she was nursing her right shoulder, possibly indicating that she’s been injured. She could also be spotted leaving the arena with the medical team while holding her arm close to her body and giving a thumbs up.

Uncertainty prevails around Becky Lynch’s injury
As noted, Becky Lynch noticeably favored her right shoulder after digesting a Glam Slam from Belair. Afterward, she also had nasty landings from a KOD on the floor. Reports can’t confirm at this moment whether the former women’s champion is definitely injured and whether she has to be sidelined due to this.
Previously, Becky Lynch was also injured prior to their WrestleMania 38 match as she fractured her larynx but then she returned in time to compete. We hope that the top Raw Superstar was simply selling the effects of the brutal match against Belair and that nothing severe has happened to her right arm that could prohibit her from competing at Clash at the Castle.
WWE is returning to the UK for a stadium show for the first time in three decades in September and Becky Lynch is present on the poster for the PPV event. However, there’s no confirmed news on what match she will be participating in. In the meantime, she has turned into a babyface and brought back The Man moniker via her social media handle.
