Trish Stratus made headlines during last week’s episode of WWE Raw when she turned heel on Becky Lynch. This surprising move came after their team dropped the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship belts to the team of Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. With Trish announced for this week’s Raw, the speculation was that her new rival should also be present on the show to confront her which wasn’t the case.
Heading into the show emanating from the Simmons Bank Arena in Little Rock, Arkansas, Becky Lynch announced on Twitter that she won’t be there Raw, this week. This made sense since WWE must have wanted to give the mic to Trish Stratus in a non-hostile platform so that she could will finally explain her betrayal on the show.

The storyline progressed as Trish further took to Twitter and reacted to Becky Lynch’s announcement by simply using used a clip of the latter’s husband Seth Rollins saying ”bye bye b****.”

Becky Lynch to receive a new lucrative deal from WWE?
However, fans speculated there’s more to the absence of Becky Lynch from WWE Raw as she removed her bio and dropped her verification badge on Twitter due to changing her display name to her real name, Rebecca Quin. This started speculation about her status with the WWE.
It was thereby noted a few WWE contracts will be running up in 2024 or at the end of 2023. Drew McIntyre is on that list, and so is Becky Lynch who s about to start contract negotiations between the two parties. Sean Ross Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that The MAN is likely to be retained by the WWE as the company is expected to throw up a lot of money to her in 2024 when her current deal is up,
“Becky Lynch has the wrestling world buzzing after tweeting that she wouldn’t be at the April 17 WWE Raw, but she might be in store for some big time money sooner than later… We’re told that Lynch signed a brand new deal upon returning to the company in 2021, and her time off for maternity leave is not a factor. Lynch signed a three-year deal that currently expires in June 2024.”
The source added that the contract negotiations between WWE and Becky Lynch hadn’t probably begun, yet. At this point, the speculations have it that she will take on Trish Stratus in a mega match at Summerslam 2023.
