Following a rare absence from WWE Raw, the current top babyface player of the brand will be back, next week. Cody Rhodes has now been prominently advertised to appear on the September 11 episode of WWE’s flagship show to make a return and possibly get involved in a storyline that will lead him to the next premium live event waiting in WWE, Fastlane in October.
Cody Rhodes previously joined The Grayson Waller Effect with the host Grayson Waller at WWE Payback PLE and revealed that he moved the needle via his political chips and brought in Jey Uso to the WWE Raw brand.

While Cody did not appear on this week’s episode of WWE Raw, Jey Uso was present to kick things off on the show. During that segment, he was embraced by former Bloodline member, Sami Zayn to have an emotional moment. Then throughout the night, he had numerous encounters with talents with whom he previously had beefs during his time in The Bloodline.
Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle weren’t interested in Jey as he was one of the reasons that the two never won the undisputed title. The question is now that Jey is on WWE Raw whether they can get along. Furthermore, will Cody get involved in an angle with Jey? The question should be answered as the American Nightmare prepares to make a return on next week’s episode.
It should be noted that beginning next week, WWE Raw will have to compete with the NFL’s Monday Night Football until the end of this year. So, they will have to assemble the biggest star power they can afford to protect themselves from the NFL juggernaut in terms of ratings. This is also the reason that a championship match has also previously been announced for the upcoming episode.
It’s been officially announced that Rhea Ripley would face Raquel Rodriguez on WWE Raw in a rematch from Payback for the WWE Women’s World Championship. At Payback, Ripley defeated Rodriguez after Dominik Mysterio got involved. Due to this, Rodriguez claimed her rematch which was granted with Dominik Mysterio banned from ringside. Time will tell if this eventually favors Rodriguez in winning a singles title in the WWE.
