A huge episode of WWE Raw is waiting for us, a week from now that will sum up the 2023 edition of Draft. Furthermore, it will also serve as the final episode from the red brand before the international event Backlash is presented on May 6. Stakes for the upcoming WWE weekly episode have now been raised with the announcement of none other than Brock Lesnar.

For weeks now on WWE Raw, Cody Rhodes has been calling out his WWE Backlash opponent Brock Lesnar to get physical with him after a brutal turn-on by Lesnar and a beatdown on the post-Wrestlemania 39 episode. A challenge for the match between the two was then issued on the April 10 episode by Rhodes.

Then on the April 17 episode of WWE Raw, a bunch of security guards were appointed to prevent the two men from getting into a physical fight. Rhodes wanted to get a piece of The Beast, this week but he opted not to show up. However, he will be there, next week.

Just before the match could begin, The Conqueror turned on The American Nightmare and dismantled him all around the ring him with a series of suplexes and F5s before finally planting him on the steel ring step with a final F5. With their match confirmed for Backlash, it’s likely the two would eventually come face-to-face inside the ring when they appear under the same roof on WWE Raw, next week.
