Summerslam 2023 is the next premium live event and the builds for the same are in progression on WWE Raw. While any match for the show is yet to be announced, the expectation is that a big confirmation will be reserved when the next installment of the red-brand show, arrives, next week. The upcoming show is shaping up to be quite a big one with Brock Lesnar being added to the card.
Summerslam 2023 is set to go down on August 5th in Detroit’s Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan and it should have a headliner in Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes III. On the latest episode of WWE Raw, Cody Rhodes appeared in a promo to talk about Lesnar and made his intentions clear on getting the rubber match against him at the Biggest Event of the Summer.

It was indicated during the promo that Brock Lesnar will be on WWE Raw, next week, possibly to accept the challenge laid down by Cody Rhodes and made their third match, official.

The Wrestling Observer previously reported that the rubber match between Lesnar and Rhodes will have a stipulation, possibly a Bullrope Match which could be confirmed on WWE Raw July 17 episode,
“There has been a lot of talk about adding a stipulation and one of the ideas is a Bullrope Match. That is not official, and there are multiple other ideas for that match on the table, and no final decision has been made.”

Women’s Tag Team Title Match announced for July 17
The Women’s Tag Team Championships will also be on the line on next week’s WWE Raw as Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville will finally get their title shot against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. The contenders won a Gauntlet Match, last week to secure the title match, opportunity. They continued with the momentums by pinning Kayden Carter and Katana Chance, this week.

Two more matches have been announced for next week’s WWE Raw featuring Intercontinental Champion Gunther and The Alpha Academy. The confirmed card for the upcoming episode goes as follows,
– Brock Lesnar will appear
– Alpha Academy vs. The Viking Raiders in a Viking Rules Match
– Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez (c) vs. Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
– Intercontinental Champion Gunther vs. Matt Riddle (Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci will be banned from ringside)
