Staying on the WWE main roster since her arrival in 2016, Carmella scratched and crawled her way to the top. Although she might not be considered one of the top wrestlers that the WWE roster has to offer, she maintains a steady spot amid tough competition in the women’s division.
Carmella overcame a personal tragedy late last year while being away from the WWE. She was supported by friends, family, and her fans throughout the phase as she’s managed to be back into the WWE fold. As stated by her on social media in the fall of 2022, she and her husband Corey Graves, were expecting their first child but then she suffered a miscarriage back in October. The couple again announced pregnancy a few days back.
Carmella Explains How Total Divas Helped WWE To Gain A Huge Female Audience
The tragedy did take the Princess of Staten Island through a tough phase but she’s not only overcome it but also ready to embrace motherhood. While speaking with Popculture.com, Carmella revealed some of her future plans after coming back to the WWE in early 2023. While career will be her focus, she also made it clear that she wants a baby to focus on family, as soon as possible.
“It was my first time with time off in almost 10 years. So I was finally able to step away from the grind, and I really got refocused on what’s important in life. I just want to continue to bring that with me through my journey back into WWE, and even though it’s a grind, even though I’ll be insanely busy compared to my last seven months off, I want to continue to remember that there is a balance and hopefully start a family. That’s my goal,” Carmella shed light on her imminent future in which she’s already a step closer.
“I would love to have a baby. So that is with my balance between work and home, I want to be able to do it all.”
Carmella already has an illustrious career in WWE
Carmella started her WWE career in 2013 in NXT where she used to be the manager to Enzo Amore and Big Cass. Then she was called up to the main roster as a part of the 2016 WWE Draft with the Princess of Staten Island gimmick. Over the years, she has gone on to capture various championships and accolades to solidify her spot in the WWE.
Being a former Smackdown Women’s and Women’s Tag Team Champion as well as the only 2-time Women’s Money in the Bank Match winner is more than enough to leave a legacy and Carmella has already done it in her career.
Then “Mella is Money” gimmicked star suffered an injury during a WWE live event in North Charleston back in July 2022 during a triple threat match for the RAW Women’s Championship involving Bianca Belair and Asuka. This kept her out of action until January 2023 which was the longest hiatus of her WWE stint.
