Belair vs. Ripley feud to begin on WWE Raw
Belair and Ripley share a long history together dating back to 2017 in WWE NXT. They used to be the two top women in the now vanquished black and gold brand before making main roster debuts in WWE. They have already been champions in their respective brand and competed against top female talents like Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Bayley, Becky Lynch, and more.
Bianca Belair has been holding the WWE Raw Women’s Championship since defeating Becky Lynch for the title at WrestleMania 3, this past April. The two top superstars were involved in a long-term feud starting from SummerSlam 2021 when Lynch made a surprise defeated Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Championships in 26-seconds.
Most recently, Belair retained her WWE Raw Women’s Title at Hell in a Cell 2022 in a triple threat against Asuka and Becky Lynch. Before that, she also defeated Sonya Deville in her first title match defense following Wrestlemania 38.
Now, the champion’s next WWE Raw Women’s Title defense happens at Money in the Bank PLE that’s scheduled for July 2 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. Her latest opponent herself is a former Raw Women’s Champion, a former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, a former NXT Women’s Champion, and the first-ever NXT UK Women’s Champion.
