The fallouts between Tessa Blanchard and her in-ring return through the WOW promotion have been reported during the entire spring. After literally sitting out of action for almost a couple of years, she was supposed to make a big impact for the company where she had been the women’s champion, previously. But things never materialized in a proper way and as reported earlier, she is no longer associated with the company in the first place.
It was first reported by reliable outlets that during a mid-April class, Tessa Blanchard cut a promo on Samantha Sage, also known as Americana. The promo reportedly saw the former Impact Wrestling superstar “tear apart” Sage and the other attendees showed their concerns about that ruthless promo. This marked the beginning of a fall-out between WOW and the second-generation superstar.
Top WWE Prospect Tessa Blanchard Reacts After Having Fallout With WOW Promotion
In an update, Fightful Select reports that Tessa Blanchard is not figured into WOW’s plans and she was not in attendance at the recent tapings held for the promotion re-launch. While she is no longer appearing for the company, it’s not been officially told that she was fired.
Issues between Tessa Blanchard and WOW were first learned in mid-April but sources also informed that they had experienced friction as far back as January. The former WOW Women’s Champion was reportedly “livid” that a planned January tryout was canceled by CBS due to COVID, with David McLane taking the blame on himself. The female talent reportedly believed that they could have done a tryout via Zoom or at an isolated school.
Tessa Blanchard was initially considered passionate by WOW higher-ups
Another source informed the outlet that things had to come to bad terms between David McClane and Tessa Blanchard since he was consistently partial to her amid all the controversies.
Sources within the company also revealed that WOW was capable of bringing back people that swore they’d never work with the female wrestler again only to see “more of the same.” The officials weren’t initially concerned about the attitude of the concerned star since they believed that she expressed more of a “passionate” side of hers.
After Fightful published the initial reports about Tessa Blanchard, several people reached out to suggest that there could be a legal conflict between the two parties. While nothing much has been confirmed, it’s almost certain that she is not coming back for any future tapings.
It was also revealed in the report that former WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee was present at the recent tapings and worked on the commentary. After the tapings, a company-wide email was sent which informed the staff that the scheduled early June tapings will be postponed due to a positive COVID test.
