WWE Raw five-point preview: October 17, 2016
Oct 17, 2016 at 11:40 AM
This is going to be the most anticipated Monday Night Raw in the year 2016 which is being headlined by none other than the returning Goldberg. The stakes are already higher from last week’s episode we just can’t wait for WWE Raw to be kick-started from the Pepsi center in Denver, Colorado. With Hell in a Cell just two weeks away from us, there’s a lot to come on tonight’s show. Here’s what to expect from tonight’s WWE Raw.
Goldberg returns on Raw
After Paul Heyman issued the challenge, last week, Goldberg did not take much time to accept it and confirm his presence on WWE Raw. The iconic figure will show up inside the squared circle after a long hiatus of 12 years. Being the franchise of WCW, he never backed down from any challenge and this time too, he will be giving a positive reaction. It was Goldberg himself who named his potential opponent, Brock Lesnar on ESPN Sportscenter. The main event of Survivor Series is all set to get hyped.
Will Owens be safe from Rollins?
Now, after being screwed by Stephanie McMahon at Clash of Champions, Rollins was livid. But, he now got what he wanted that is the rematch against Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Championship. Now, Rollins is on a mission lately to ruin Kevin Owens show. Last week he rejected Jericho from entering the Hell structure by defeating him in a singles contest and will continue his wrath to ruin Owens’ title reign.
Survivor Series traditional match builds up
On Smackdown, Daniel Bryan, and Shane McMahon has already issued a challenge to WWE Raw to accept not one but three 5-on-5 tag team contest for Survivor Series. WWE Raw will surely accept it in order to make a traditional Survivor Series match, a tag team match, and a Women’s 5-on-5 tag team contest which makes this year’s edition of Survivor Series even bigger.
Charlotte-Sasha Banks prepares to make history
After one year, Charlotte is on a losing streak. After she tapped on to lose her title on WWE Raw, two weeks ago, she did it again on last week’s show. Charlotte for sure has to come up with a new strategy to get back her title from the Boss who is now the face of the division and will defend her title inside the Hell in a Cell structure. Prepare to see these two women engaging in brawl before heading towards the PPV on October 30.
Will Sheamus-Cesaro get on the same page?
Mick Foley is trying whatever he can to get these two brawlers on the same page but till now he has not been able to do it. These two will stay like these and will get their shot at the tag team title in the future. Unlike other tag teams, these two will carry on the animosity between them but will eventually emerge successful at one point. It will be much like the team of Daniel Bryan and Kane, team Hell No. So, until they win the titles expect these two overshadowing each other.
