Last night marked the go-home episode of WWE Raw for Wrestlemania 34.
The capacity could not be more significant with a face-off happening amongst the authority figures. Deadman was about to answer the challenge laid down by the Cenation Leader. Furthermore, a substantial main event was also confirmed to take place.
Check out all of these and much more happened on the show hosted by the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
WWE Raw kicked off with the face-off segment amongst Kurt Angle, Ronda Rousey, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Coachman asked some hard-hitting questions before Triple H hit Kurt with a mic on his head. Ronda went to prohibit him when Stephanie grabbed her from the back and put her on the table to end the segment.
Bayley had the first matchup of the night against Sonya Deville of the Absolution. Deville rolled her up after a kick. But, Bayley capitalized with her roll-up for the win. After the match, Sasha Banks ran out to make the save for Bayley, as the Absolution started an attack. They failed to get on the same page, as Absolution continued their ambush on both the babyfaces.
The main event matchup between Seth Rollins and Finn Balor was a classic one with the crowd chanting, ‘this is awesome.’ After a back and forth going, Rollins went for a powerbomb on Balor but instead planted by a Sling Blade. Inside the ring, both men went for rollups when Rollins was able to hit the Curb Stomp on Balor for the win.
The Bar went for a verbal assault as well as a physical assault on Braun Strowman. But, the monster among men backfired and threw Cesaro on the ramp that forced Sheamus to run away. Matt Hardy competed in a singles match against Goldust which was definitely a bizarre contest. The Woken One won it after delivering a Twist of Fate on his opponent.
John Cena came out on WWE Raw to call out the Undertaker, as he is doing the same for the past four weeks. The crowd broke into “Undertaker” chants, as Cena fired them up even more. He insulted the Deadman with numerous means but failed, ultimately. He then declared that this year, he is going to Wrestlemania as a fan and not as a performer.
Elias had a match against Heath Slater and won it with the Drift Away move. Alexa Bliss and Mickie James teamed up against Asuka and Dana Brooke for a tag matchup. Asuka and James shared the ring in the closing moments when the Asuka lock gets locked in to make James tap out. After the match, Bliss and James teamed up to deliver an assault on Brooke when Nia Jax ran out to make the save. Bliss looked terrified while running away from Jax.
Brock Lesnar came out in the final segment of WWE Raw. The superstars from the roster were lined up to protect a fight between Lesnar and Reigns. Despite this, the contender of the Universal Championship entered the ring and hit five superman punches on the champion. While posing with the title, Lesnar caught Reigns red-handed and floored him with an F-5 to end the show.
