WWE: Raw Full Results: April 30, 2018 1

Last night marked the go home edition of WWE Raw for the Backlash PPV event on this Sunday.

Braun Strowman followed up on his win at the Greatest Royal Rumble match, whereas, the other title matches were hyped up in a big way. Plus, Roman Reigns built momentum against next opponent at the PPV event.

Here are the results from the show took place at the Bell Center in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Roman Reigns kicked off this week’s WWE Raw in the midst of thunderous booing reactions. The commentators recapped what happened at greatest Royal Rumble and said he won the match since his feet touched the floor, first. But, due to referee’s decision, he is still not the Universal Champion. Reigns had a confrontation against Samoa Joe who was live via satellite.

Moments later, Jinder Mahal interrupted trying to blast Roman Reigns for his failure. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens also showed up with the same pledge. The trio then teamed up to take down the Big Dog. But, Bobby Lashley and Braun Strowman ran down to make the save. These three cleared the ring to stand tall.

Elias was seen in the ring with fewer reactions from the crowd. So, he tried to fire the people up with negative comments. As they were getting into it, Bobby Roode’s music hit, as he came down for the opening contest of WWE Raw. The match never saw a proper finish since Roode’s throat had hit the turnbuckle hard. After this, he needed medical attention and was helped by the medical personnel to the backstage area.

Sasha Banks had singles match against Ruby Riott before which she was interviewed in the gorilla position whether the difference with Bayley has been sorted out. The Boss gave negative answers to that before going into the match. The Riott Squad provided the usual distraction costing the matchup for Sasha. Ruby hit the Riott Kick on Sasha to pick up the win.

After what transpired on the opening segment, a six-man tag team match took place on WWE Raw. The lineup was Jinder Mahal, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn vs Braun Strowman, Bobby Lashley, and Roman Reigns. The ending moments saw Reigns spearing Mahal to neutralise his distraction, whereas, Owens missed a cannonball on Strowman. The behemoth then hit the pendant powerslam to pick the win.

After what happened on last week’s WWE Raw, Natalya squared off against Mickie James in a match. She was on the verge to pick up the win with the Sharpshooter locked in, but Alexa Bliss stood on the apron to provide the distraction. Ronda Rousey chased Bliss down to keep her away. Also, Nia Jax came out after which the former champion walked out of the ring. Natalya rolled up Mickie to pick up an easy win.

The Authors of Pain picked up a win against a local team of Jean-Paul and Francois. Baron Corbin had a matchup against No Way Jose. Titus Worldwide came out and made fun of his tripping up at the Greatest Royal Rumble in between the contest. This distraction allowed Jose to roll Corbin up for the win.

By an earlier confrontation, Seth Rollins and Finn Balor had an Intercontinental Championship match in the main event of WWE Raw. Balor was on the verge to pick up the win with Coup De Grace. But, Rollins dodged it and connected with a superkick. After that, he hit his pendant Curb Stomp on Balor to retain his championship. Rollins vs Miz at Backlash now gets finalized.
